JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this role is to ensure smooth running of the plant in line with Mining Health and Safety standards and running of the metalogical plant to achieve full production in an efficient and cost-effective way.

The purpose of this role is to ensure smooth running of the plant in line with Mining Health and Safety standards and running of the metalogical plant to achieve full production in an efficient and cost-effective way.

Job Description

Plant safety management in accordance with MHSA
Conduct safety meetings and provide feedback to safety department
Conduct all plant risk assessment
Identify and report unsafe and hazardous situations in work areas
Effective and complete running of the metallurgical plant
Weekly Production planning
Plant Optimization and fault finding
General equipment maintenance by planning on job cards
Ordering raw material stock timeously

Education & Qualification

Grade 12 or relevant NQF 4 equivalent
Basic mineral processing course
First Aid Training course
Mining Foreman’s certificate
Computer literacy (basic Excel, MS documents, etc.)
SHE Training
Cyanide training and handling

Technical knowledge skills & Experience

3 years supervisory experience
5-8 years years Maintenance Schedule Planning experience
Be able to work independently with minimum supervision
3-years minimum Experience in working in a similar plant

Behavioural Competencies

Able to work under pressure
Deadline driven
Attention to detail

Additional Information

Candidate must preferably be a WHITE MALE
Must have Intense experience in metallurgy
Wiling to relocate to Johannesburg
