A client of ours within the Engineering sector is looking for a Plant Manager with Rock Phosphate Treatment Plant to join their company is Mauritania, Nort West Africa.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Mining Engineering
- 10 years of experience in industrial plant operations, with atleast 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the mining, mineral processing, or related industries.
Responsibilities: - Participate in the installation phase of the plant, ensuring proper setup and commissioning of equipment and infrastructure
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance plant efficiency and productivity
- Oversee the treatment and processing of rock phosphate, ensuring compliance with quality standards and industry regulations
- Prepare and manage the plant’s annual budget in coordination with relevant departments
- Supervise maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, to ensure continuous plant operation
- Ensure the proper utilization of equipment and resources to optimize production processes
- Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental procedures in accordance with legal and company requirements
- Lead and coordinate with various departments, including maintenance, production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and work standards to enhance plant performance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials, spare parts, and other essential supplies
- Evaluate and approve technical specifications for equipment procurement and maintenance contracts
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of plant personnel
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, technological upgrades, and cost reduction initiatives
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and government agencies to ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Prepare and submit regular technical and financial reports to senior management
- Address and resolve operational challenges, ensuring timely decision-making to maintain plant productivity
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by senior management
