Plant Relief Supervisor - Chemical Manufacturing Industry

SUMMARY:
A well-known International Company requires the above to Supervise a team on the Plant and support the Production Manager within this leading Chemical Manufacturing Company.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• A tertiary qualification / Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related qualification is essential.
• Previous experience having worked within a Plant Relief Supervisory or related role within a Chemical Processing Manufacturing environment is essential.
• The successful candidate must have worked within a Chemical Continuous Field Operation role.
• The successful candidate must have excellent problem-solving abilities and be computer literate in Microsoft Office.
• The successful candidate must have good management skills, as well as having managed a team of employees on a plant.
• Previous experience in Process Control System is essential and a knowledge of SAP, would be an advantage.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must understand and relate to maintenance and safety within a Plant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Manage and oversee all ongoing Production related issues are timeously addressed.
• Oversee and handle all plant and personnel problem-solving related issues.
• Ensure that safety regulations and standards are adhered by all staff.
• Be responsible for the relief of Foreman, Wet End Operator, Dry End Operator and Effluent Operator
• Issue daily permits taking ownership and responsibility that all work in the Plant is done correctly, on time and in a safe environment.
