Plant Shift Supervisor

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Plant Shift Supervisor in the Northern Cape. Suitable candidates will be responsible for the process and production aspects of the Sinter plant and ensures that operators operate various sections of the plant according to best practices based on the instructions from Section Head/ Foreman.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION)

• Grade 12 /NQF Level 4
• National Diploma Extraction Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as process plant operator in a comminution plant, 1 year of which was on a supervisory level

 Other Requirements

•  Experience related to plants
• Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures for underground mining
• Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
• Excellent organisation skills and written communication skills
• Strong Leadership and management ability
• Ability to work in a multinational/multicultural environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

•  Computer literacy and system knowledge:

MS Office (Basic) 

• SHERQ
• Working knowledge and skills of SHERQ policies, practices and procedures
• Integrated risk management and assessment.
• Policies and procedures such as working knowledge of all related company including IR, HC and labour agreements
