Plant and Site Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY:
Start mid-January 2022! Manufacturing concern, based in Kew, has an exciting opening for a Plant and Site Maintenance Manager to join their team.  Report directly to the CFO.  Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills on machine tools; strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems essential.  Ability to work unsupervised; show own initiative; take ownership of problems; understand and have the ability to interpret machine manuals and engineering drawings and continuous improvement recommendations to improve factory performance and reliability.

POSITION INFO:
Position requires a person with a NQF4 Fitter and Turner or similar suitable trade or an NQF4 Millwright having undergone and completed an apprenticeship.  Minimum 3 years experience post-apprenticeship essential.  Experience in the timber industry highly advantageous.  KPI''s include: implement preventative maintenance programme; fault-finding and correction of process control equipment; conduct root cause analysis and repairs on machine breakdowns in a highly pressurized production environment; manage maintenance store of tools, critical spares, suppliers and consumables; organize, manage and supervise sub-contractors; repairs on electrical and pneumatic hand tools; provide reports on diagnosis, assessment of components, part failures and corrective actions as well as recommendations per machine.
