Quality asset manager is looking to fill a key gap - Portfolio Manager (Indexation) responsible for a portfolio of tracker mandates and play an active role in the management thereof and any associated activities. The role is Cape Town based.

Core involvement includes:

• Excellent management of the portfolios/funds, so as to fulfil the clients'' mandates.
• Improving the investment process to minimise errors and to improve productivity/efficiency.
• Proactive and professional engagement with clients and service providers to ensure excellent management of the portfolios/funds.
• Excellent and proactive management and resolution of exceptions in the fund management process.
• Research and analysis as required by existing and potential clients.

The role is suited to :

• Degree (Honours preferable) with Quantitative focus e.g. Maths/Stats/Accounting/Investments
• 3 - 5 years relevant quantitative and financial modelling experience within financial markets.
• Deep understanding of the investment environment and financial markets: equity, fixed income and derivative markets both international and domestic.
• Advanced knowledge of ExcelÂ
• FAIS compliant candidate
