Pre-Sales Consultant - Public Sector / Local Gov

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Centurion, Pretoria is seeking an experienced, client-focused Senior Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to join their growing team. This is part of a growing business, that is part of a larger group of companies. This role is working within Local Government, so Local Government experience is preferred but any public sector experience will also be great.

This role combines technical expertise with consultative solution selling, working closely with municipalities, government organisations and enterprise clients to design innovative ICT solutions.
 
The successful candidate will support opportunities from discovery and solution design through proposal development and implementation handover.

Please Note: This role is based in the office full time but will involve going out to see clients and is client facing.

POSITION INFO:
In order to be considered the following is required: Relevant Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, Azure, AWS or similar certifications advantageous Minimum 5 years' experience in Technical Pre-Sales, Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering or Solutions Architecture Experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP), Systems Integrator or Enterprise ICT environment Experience designing enterprise infrastructure and managed service solutions Experience with municipalities, government departments or the public sector is highly advantageous Experience preparing technical proposals, tender responses and customer presentations Technical Knowledge: Managed IT: Microsoft Server Technologies Microsoft 365 Azure Virtualisation Backup and Disaster Recovery End User Computing Networking: LAN\/WAN SD-WAN Firewalls VPN Unified Communications Cybersecurity: Managed Security Perimeter Security Identity and Access Management Penetration Testing Security Compliance Cloud: Azure Cloud Hosting Cloud Migration Application Hosting DevOps Systems Integration Professional Services: IT Strategy Business Process Automation Digital Transformation Business Intelligence Data Analytics Responsibilities: Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements Consult municipalities, government departments and enterprise clients on ICT strategy and digital transformation Design and present Managed IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Infrastructure and Digital Transformation solutions Conduct workshops, demonstrations and executive presentations Develop solution architectures, BOMs, Statements of Work and technical proposals Support RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and public sector tenders Work closely with Sales, Engineering and Delivery teams throughout the sales cycle Build trusted relationships with CIOs, IT Managers, Municipal Managers and executive stakeholders Identify opportunities to expand client environments through additional the business solutions If you thrive in a fast-paced technology environment and enjoy turning strategic vision into impactful digital products, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a forward-thinking organization.
