POSITION INFO:

Our client is a Cape Town based enterprise and supplier development (ESD) fund manager that is mandated to assist their investors with earning accredited ESD points on their B-BBEE scorecard. Our client achieves this through 3 key routes:

  1. Access to Funds: Providing enterprise and supplier development investment which it receives from its investors to qualifying black-owned businesses.
  2. Access to Markets: Assisting their beneficiary entities with access to markets via the 500 current investors within the Funds:
    1. Our client facilitates this access through an inhouse web-based platform
    2. Our client tries to connect its beneficiaries to measured entities on a case by case basis
  3. Access to Skills Development: Our client has access to grant funding to assist beneficial entities on a matched grant funding basis.

Access to Markets:

Our client uses an intuitive web-based platform which is an integral part of the investor offering. Its value is underpinned by a data base of verified and referenced black-owned suppliers that the investor base can procure goods and services from and that black owned beneficiaries can use to access markets.

Our client looking for someone to manage and drive the growth and vision for their in house supplier platform.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implementing development of the platform through third parties
  • Developing digital strategies to facilitate access to markets from our clients beneficiaries looking to access measured entities and from measured entities looking to find procurement partners
  • Applying ongoing thought as to how to build and enhance our clients portal, offering and utilisation through creative and practical solutions and value-adds that fit within the B-BBEE codes.
  • Ongoing communication with our clients investors, beneficiaries and suppliers to be listed on platform
  • Building and maintaining metrics to track the growth and utilisation of the platform
  • Developing presentations and presenting to the team, clients and other stakeholders
  • Creating/reviewing weekly performance tracking reports
  • Supporting other teams in the fund when required (likely in areas outside of your typical daily role)

  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and observe POPI regulations
  • An eagerness to continuously learn
  • An up-to-date knowledge of the B-BBEE codes

Requirements:

  • Degree or NQF level 8 Education or Equivalent in Commerce/IT/marketing
  • 3 years’ experience in online Retail/Social Media Marketing/customer relationship system knowledge
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of procurement processes.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of online platforms.
  • Prove to be proficient at project management.
  • Enjoy and leverage off strong interpersonal & communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Be exceedingly proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Be interested in working with new techniques and technologies
  • Meticulous with digital records and a CRM environment.
  • Ability to maintain a critical eye
  • Have a strong desire to learn
  • Strong understanding of the digital environment so that our clients portal can build and leverage off a strong digital presence
