SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Principal Procurement Advisor who will support our major projects in the region and specifically Simandou in Guinea. Must be able to provide broad end to end procurement support to management, customers, team, and strategic business partners to drive best practice and meeting our global standards whilst providing pragmatic solutions in a Capital Projects environment and manage the sourcing hub for business as usual. The role will require an exceptional stakeholder engagement skillset and a superior ability to influence.

POSITION INFO:
Main Duties:

Establish strategic relations with the highest level of external stakeholders in order to optimise procurement outcomes
Interface with key internal stakeholders to understand their needs and offer pragmatic solutions in support of their objectives
Ensure stakeholders both internally and externally are actively engaged during the delivery, implementation and ongoing management of sourcing projects
Work with End users and the Projects team to ensure Local Content and Life of Mine considerations are taken into account
Lead and support change implementation efforts as required
Engage with broader RTP organisation to help support stakeholders
Create solutions that maintain a balance with regards to people, goals, methods, policies and procedures
Provides direction and supervision to teams of procurement/ supply chain employees to align with RT global procurement standards and practices
Conduct S2C activities as required to deliver on business needs

To succeed in this role, you will have:

10+ years’ experience in Commercial aspects of the business
Commercial Project Management experience will be preferred
Broader African experience will be preferred
Degree or Diploma in related field (Commerce, Legal, Engineering)
Good understanding and exposure to Project Procurement environment
Interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across all spectrums of the Group
Proficient in English, French language proficiency will be an added advantage
Experience in working within a multi-cultural environment
