The Company
Principal Data Engineer required to join an expanding analytics company based in Leeds, as they continue to grow. They are a well-established consultancy offering bespoke data solutions and services with some very ambitious plans. The company has grown steadily for the past few years, but now have an endless number of exciting projects in the pipeline.
They boast contracts with some pretty impressive household names, who trust them to build complex solutions and work closely with their internal teams. You''ll be joining at a good time as even though they are growing rapidly there is still a real start-up feel (very lean, agile and fast) and you will have a big impact on not just your team and projects, but the whole organisation.
The Role
You will join as a lead in a tight knit data engineering team in what will be a predominantly client facing role, helping customers understand what is possible with their data and explaining this to technical and non-technical people alike.
This role offers the chance to work with a range of interesting technology/approaches, including: Azure, AWS, Python, Spark, Pandas, Databricks, CI/CD and the chance to be involved across the full lifecycle of data projects. This role will suit a seasoned Data Engineer with a genuine passion for data, a strong customer focus and ability to solve complex problems.
Ideal experience:
You''ll have experience as a Data Engineer at senior level and need a blend of both technical and consulting skills. Not only will you be excellent at programming, building data pipelines and working in the cloud, you''ll also be capable of working in a client facing environment, ensuring all project deadlines are met on time and to an excellent standard.

The company are willing to offer up to £100,000 base salary, a big bonus as well as a great pension scheme. In terms of location they''d ideally like someone that could come into the Leeds office roughly 6 days per month with your accommodation paid for and the rest of the time working from home!
