Principal Engineer

SUMMARY:
The Principal Engineer serves as the technical lead for the engineering team, driving innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering high-quality electronic solutions. The role involves overseeing complex projects, mentoring team members, and collaborating across departments to achieve company goals.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement advanced electronic systems and embedded applications.
• Define and address system requirements including interfaces, power, and noise.
• Provide technical leadership in testing, verification, and safety analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, firmware, and software.
• Mentor engineers and foster innovation and excellence.
• Represent engineering in client meetings and technical reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2.5 years (preferably 5+ years) experience in system-level electronic design.
• Proven leadership and project delivery experience.
• Expertise in schematic capture, PCB layout, and embedded systems.
• Must be eligible to work in South Africa and willing to travel occasionally.
