POSITION INFO:
Job Description:

Responsible for design, specification, selection and services relating to mechanical equipment such as rotating machinery, pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment, utility equipment, packaged units, material handling and solids processing systems.
May also include design, specification, selection and services of mechanical systems for buildings such as gases, fluids, and heating, ventilating, air conditioning and vertical transportation.
Independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods and represents company in meetings to resolve important questions/issues.
Negotiate with key client’s representatives and with equipment or services suppliers.
Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers and designers.
Provides technical direction for task work group working on a project.
Familiar with project type environment and worked on projects from conceptual through execution phase.
Have sound knowledge and understanding of ASME and API codes and standards.

Special Qualities Or Experience Required:

Minimum 10 years of related experience in petrochemical industry working on EPC FEED contracts.
Specific design experience in pressure vessels, tank farms and heat exchangers.

Qualifications:

Essential: B Sc Mechanical Engineering degree with Pr Eng registration
Desirable: Sasol or Oil Major experience
