Principal SAP (FI CO) Management Accounting Functional Analyst

Location: Cape Town

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal SAP (FI CO) Management Accounting Functional Analyst to join our IS&T – ESC Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing SAP FI CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) modules to enhance financial processes and reporting. This role involves analyzing business requirements, configuring SAP solutions, and ensuring seamless integration between modules to support our organization''''''''''''''''s financial management needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• SAP FI CO Configuration:
  Configure and customize SAP FI CO modules, including Profit Centre Accounting, to meet business requirements.
• Business Analysis and Solution Design:
  Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions. Propose enhancements and modifications to optimize financial processes.
• Integration Management:
  Manage and ensure smooth integration between SAP FI CO and other modules to maintain data consistency and accuracy.
• Testing and Validation:
  Utilize tools such as CATT’s, Quick Test, Conversion Tools, and LSMW for testing and data migration. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Project Execution:
  Lead or participate in SAP FI CO implementation projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support. Ensure project milestones are met within scope and budget.
• Documentation and Training:
  Develop comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and training materials. Provide training and support to end-users.
• Stakeholder Management:
  Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to align SAP solutions with business objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

• SAP FI Certification (Proof of certification required with CV submission).

Experience:

• 8+ years of SAP experience with multiple SAP FI CO implementations.
• At least 2 SAP Profitability and Performance Management implementations.
• Experience in local government projects is beneficial.

Core Skills:

• Expertise in FI CO Configuration and Setup.
• Proficiency in SAP Profit Centre Accounting and integration between modules.
• Strong skills in CATT’s, Quick Test, Conversion Tools, LSMW, and project execution.

Other Requirements:

• Cape Town residency is strongly recommended.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
