SUMMARY:
Our client in Ekurhuleni is seeking a Print Manager to manage and oversee all flexographic printing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, cost efficiencies, and safety requirements are consistently achieved while leading and developing the printing team.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Manage the daily operation of the flexographic printing department. Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer deadlines. Ensure all printed products meet colour, print quality, and customer specifications. Reduce waste, downtime, and production inefficiencies. Lead, coach, and supervise print operators and assistants. Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and food safety standards. Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance requirements. Control ink usage, print consumables, and departmental costs. Investigate and resolve print quality and production issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Minimum requirements: Matric (Grade 12). Relevant qualification in Printing Technology or Production Management (advantageous). Minimum 5 years' experience in a flexographic printing environment. At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of flexographic printing processes, colour management, inks, substrates, plate mounting, and print quality control. Computer literate (Microsoft Office and production systems).
