Printing Machine Operator

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a skilled Printing Machine Operator with experience in corrugated board printing and finishing to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Formal qualification in the trade of Corrugated Board Printing and Finishing Machine Minding
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a printing machine in a manufacturing or packaging environment
• Proficient in operating equipment and systems, including IoT-based controls
• Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or in-house production systems)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Knowledge of ink viscosity and colour matching

• Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required
• Proactive, responsible, and reliable
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality

• Operate and set up printing machines according to job specifications and production requirements
• Ensure all processes comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards within the ISO framework
• Collaborate with team members to promote a safe and efficient work environment
• Thoroughly assess work orders to understand production requirements
• Guarantee the final product meets customer specifications and quality standards
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization within the department
• Accurately maintain and update production records using in-house systems
• Contribute actively to improving machine availability by adhering to preventative maintenance procedures
