Process & Continuous Improvement Engineer

SUMMARY:
Responsible for leading site process and lean projects that contribute toward improving manufacturing/operations efficiencies and reducing all forms of waste by utilizing lean manufacturing & continuous improvement techniques.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• PMO Management
• Project Management
• Planning and implementing projects
• Control and monitoring the progress of projects.
• Managing the projects budget;
• Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements.
• Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies;
• Managing and utilizing resources across projects
• Managing stakeholders’ communication;
• Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the project’s “outcome” with the aid of the business change manager by following PMBOK methodology
• Managing the main project documentation and putting sustainable measures in place
• Process design and value stream mapping
• Front End Engineering Designs and Mass, Energy, Water and Waste Balance Development
• Wastage Reduction and Process Optimization
• Facilitation and Development of Lean Manufacturing program for all sites
• Best Practices Rollout and Change Management around Lean Manufacturing for all sites
• strategically implement lean manufacturing to continually improve the production process.
• Liaise with external suppliers to ensure equipment and consumables used are appropriate to the operations and are the most efficient solution.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methodology throughout the manufacturing facility and processes. 

EDUCATION/SKILL & EXPERIENCE

• Chemical Engineering Degree
• Experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable knowledge practically of implementing lean manufacturing/continuous improvement
• Six sigma green/black belt qualification would be desirable
• At least 3-5 years working experience of which 1 year must be with process engineering related projects and 1-2 years on project management work as a minimum
• Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing methodologies and systems planning.
• Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred
• Proven ability to self-manage and deliver on time to budget.
• Excellent inter-personal skills to build relationship internally and externally.
• MS Projects Experience/Skill as well as Engineering Simulation and Design Package Experiences/Skill
• Advanced Excel abilities
