About the Role

Our client, a leading chemical manufacturing specialist in the industrial resin sector, has a vacancy for a Process Control Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DCS (Distributed Control Systems) in a chemical process environment, as well as a tertiary qualification in Chemical or Computer Engineering.

POSITION INFO:

What you’ll be doing

• Automation (Technical Support to Manufacturing operations, identifying information needs)
• Projects & Maintenance (Involving employment of computer systems, including start and post startup, lead systems Development Life Cycle, train personnel, troubleshoot, programming, preventative maintenance)
• Company Process (Management of Change, Continuous Improvement, Risk Analyses, Compliance, Process Evaluation, Development and Improvement)
• Contractor & Personnel Management (Train, motivate, guide, set standards, manage)
• Daily Maintenance (Manage resources, support maintenance department, visual inspections, electrical fault finding)
• Preventative Maintenance (Plan, Coordinate and identify, ensure updated data regarding maintenance program)
• Statutory & Regulatory Inspections & Testing
• Project & Office Management (Scoping, costing, planning)
• Critical Spares Inventory Management
• Management of Costs
• Housekeeping & Safety adherence

What you’ll need

• Tertiary qualification in Chemical/Computer Science Engineering
• Understanding of Chemical Processes and operations (previous experience required)
• Previous experience and support of Distributive Control Systems (DCS) essential
• DeltaV experience will be advantage
• English
• One other official language
• Must be available for call-outs
• Frequent travel between sites will be required
• People leadership experience required
• Customer driven and assertive
