Process Manager - (Image Processing)

SUMMARY:
Our Client based in the East Rand is looking for a PROCESS (Scanning) MANAGER with experience in image processing and strong experience in Print Production; MUST HAVE a Post Matric Qualification

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Grade 12.
• Degree in Production Management/Supply Chain/Operations Management
• Postgraduate qualification is business administration will also be advantageous
• 5 years’ experience in a production/operations environment.
• Production planning background in Print Production or scanning in print production
• Digital scanning experience a MUST in print production as didgital scanning forms the main focus of this position
• Able to manage over 60 staff memebers day to day running
• Resource management, control and utilisation
• Knowledge of scanning equipment will be an advantage
• Knowledge of OSH Act is highly advantageous
• Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to operate independently and remotely
• Must have experience with implementing health and safety guidelines
• Must have solid experience in managing performance of teams and handling labour relations matters
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a flair for operations, hardworking and pay attention to detail
• Must be a team player
• Must have business acumen and be able to communicate with senior to top management
• Must be prepared to travel to sites.
• Must be highly computer literate
• Demonstrate excellent organisational skills
• Must have experience in tender document preparation
• Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s licence 
• Process Management
• Ensures effective planning of work and resources to achieve optimal throughput.
• Coordinates work teams to meet daily production targets according to work planning schedule:
  • data capture
  • document preparation
  • scanning
  • data administration
  • projects
  • hard copy
  • COLD/COM
• Ensures that all completed work is formally handed over to the next step for delivery which may be physical media to clients or data internally for upload into companies hosted solutions which requires call to be logged on the helpdesk.
• Inspects work in progress throughout the day that the teams are on target which will require a hands on approach.
• Personally performs independent quality checks of work quality of staff members and takes corrective actions as required.
• Personally performs independent performance checks on staff members and takes corrective actions as required.
• Ensure the full track and trace is maintained of boxes/files/batches throughout the image processing cycle
• Reports to the Operations Manager on production performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Manages any service incidents and escalates them accordingly based on severity
• Ensures that all processing equipment is maintained in optimal condition.
• Manages and ensures adherence to the OSH Act and good housekeeping of the Processing Centre at all times.
• Enforces adherence to company policies and procedures and carries out disciplinary steps as required for non-conformance/non-adherence.
• Manage lateness and sickness.
• Maintains an ongoing review of per client per job benchmarks

• Ensures that staff is trained, skilled and that their expertise is optimally applied.
• Ensures that the working environment contributes to improve staff morale and increase productivity.

• COST MANAGEMENT
• Provides input into the compilation of the regional operations budget.
• Performs planning not only in line with production targets but also ensures that cost target based on original costing + time and motion studies are maintained.
•  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Has responsibility for up to 100 staff.
