Process and Recoveries Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our client in the FMCG industry, based in Durban, has an opportunity available for a Process and Recoveries Engineer.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Btech (Chem Eng) Degree / Chemical Engineering Degree / Diploma
• 5 Years experience in Sugar production and a sound knowledge of the factories
• Track record of technical leadership and process design engineering experience
• Good data analysis and interpretation skills
• Deep Root Cause Analysis skills and experience

KPAs:

• Drive production, recovery and extraction initiatives that will deliver products at volume, cost and quality levels that drive profitability
• Provide expertise on complex, multi-faceted production issues, support and advise on solutions
• Model and simulate factory unit operations to understand bottlenecks and key efficiency drivers, and use the model to propose solutions, drawing on factory real time data
• Optimise cost of production
• Address all technical process audit findings
• Monitors factory effluent quality and quantity to ensure that any effluent disposal is within specification
