Process and Recoveries Engineer

Our client has an opportunity available for a Process and Recoveries Engineer based in Noodsberg.

Requirements:

• BTech degree or Chemical Engineering degree/diploma.
• 5+ years’ experience in sugar production and knowledge of the factories.
• Track record of technical leadership and process design engineering experience.
• Data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Deep Root Cause analysis skills and experience.

KPAs:

• Drive production, recovery and extraction initiatives that will drive profitability.
• Provide expertise on complex production issues, support and advise on solutions.
• Ensure continuous improvement by driving work practices and ensuring that tools are being applied to deliver high quality products made in a safe and sustainable manner.
• Conduct regular internal and external benchmarking exercises to identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage and coordinate the sharing of identified best practices within function across entities and provide additional opportunities for problem identification.
• Monitors factory effluent quality and quantity to ensure that any disposal is within specification.
• Lead production teams in developing the necessary skills and experience to meet current and future needs.
• Build a strong technical team for Production through ongoing mentoring and technical training.
• Management of technical standards, process specifications and policies and bring the factory production up to these minimum standards as well as the governance thereof.
