JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and reviews them with minimal supervision
Order Placement Timing, Supply / Demand Alignment, Material Replenishment, and Supplier Performance
Opening of new Job Cards on Pastel Evolution
Sourcing the most affordable materials locally and abroad
Sourcing specialized items required by customers
Develop key relationships with key supply partners
Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
Monitoring delivery times to ensure they are achievable
Capturing of requisitions on Pastel Evolution in order for orders to be generated
Populating orders with all required information
Detailed price comparison with percentage difference detailed
Consolidation of stationery and office cleaning requirements as well as procurement of other goods
Procurement of stationery and office cleaning supplies
Ensuring an adequate supply of all required materials, components, and equipment
Weekly supplier reports on all long lead item open orders
Checking price variances between official orders and supplier invoices
Expedite orders with suppliers to meet production or general deadlines
Daily upkeep of payment request register and quotes folder
Other general procurement administrative duties within the scope of work

Requirements

Grade 12
Post matric qualification in Procurement Administration
2 years experience in Procurement administration in a manufacturing environment
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Knowledge of inventory management software (e. g ERP, Pastel Evolution)
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
Strong numerical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (MS Excel is non –negotiable)
