SUMMARY:
Our client in the steel fabrication industry is looking for a procurement manager with procurement management experience, specifically dealing with imports, production material forecasting and inventory management to join their team in Krugersdorp

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Grade 12 or relevant NQF 4 qualification
Management qualification will be advantageous
3-5 years experience in a similar procurement management role
SANS 1535 and ISO Standards
Proficient in MS Office and Sage
Technical Drawing Literacy: Ability to read an engineering drawing
Experience with Imports and Exports
Experience with production material forecasting
Production orders and inventory management
Strong experience in supplier management

Key Responsibilities:

Steel Market Intelligence: Actively track the Steel Price Index (local and international) to make strategic "bulk buy" decisions on mild steel and stainless-steel plates/coils.
International Freight Management: Negotiate rates and coordinate with freight forwarders for road, sea, and rail transport across borders, and manage documents
MTC Management and MTC certificate verification
Financial and risk management duties
