Procurement Manager

▪ Procurement strategies and delivery
▪ Good understanding of the local supply market, ability to understand and analyze relevant supply market dynamics and supplier capabilities.
▪ Knowledge of power sources, including alternative power options.
▪ Ability to support end-to-end Procurement and Supply Chain activities in line with the Group-wide procurement policy.
▪ Understanding of, and experience working with local regulations including the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE).
▪ Implement and maintain best practices and continuous improvement initiatives which eliminate inefficiencies and enhance performance in the company’s supply chain.
▪ Ensure all activities related to sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies are carried out to meet operational, project and program demands to support short, medium and longer term objectives.
▪ Ensure adoption of and adherence to Sustainability (ESG) principles
▪ Optimize spend, leverage the supply base, minimize risk and ensure compliance with company policies, processes and regulatory standards.
▪ Work with relevant stakeholders to create commercial arrangements that appropriately address risk, reward, supply chain flexibility and continuous improvement.
▪ Ensure full alignment, understanding and adoption of roles & responsibilities in agreed governance model with local, specialist and Group teams
▪ Measure, track and provide adequate reporting of all relevant procurement metrics while delivering continuous improvement initiatives
▪ Responsible for facilitating the drafting of statements of work and follow-up on full supplier contracting.
▪ Manage and facilitate commercial contract management and supplier performance management activities within South Africa.
▪ Provide ongoing business partnering with all relevant stakeholders to ensure ongoing contracts are compliant to set obligations within the contract between the supplier and South Africa.

Qualifications

▪ Bachelors Degree or a Technical Bachelor’s Diploma/Degree in combination with relevant Procurement certification, e.g.

• APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)

• CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)

▪ Experience of 5+ years in a procurement / supply chain role, ideally at an MNO or OEM

▪ Track record of independently handling sourcing efforts and contracting

▪ Experience of working with cross-functional teams in complex sourcing projects

▪ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

▪ South Africa supply market knowledge and experience is a requirement

▪ Expert Level in MS-Excel and Powerpoint and relevant Procurement tools/systems

▪ Strong project management skills to instigate, deliver and supplier performance manage direct and outsourced suppliers.

▪ Postgraduate business degree would be an added advantage
