JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is a well-established firm in the manufacturing of high-quality agricultural products Industry, and they are currently looking for a Procurement Officer who will be tasked with the procurement of raw materials, as guided by their procurement policies and procedures. The successful candidate must come with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements

Essential: Matric.
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Essential: Microsoft Office.

Roles and Responsibilities

Negotiating prices for materials in accordance to demand seasonality.
Tasked with capital management through continuous inventory monitoring.
Researching and evaluating the suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, and the supplier’s reputation.
Tasked with demanding forecast discussions with suppliers as furnished by the sales and the commercial teams.
Responsible for expediting purchase orders.
Responsible for ensuring prices negotiated with approved suppliers are consistent and are as competitive.
Responsible to negotiate prices with Suppliers.
Ensuring the prices stay competitive in the market.
