Procurement Officer

SUMMARY:

(PLEASE NOTE: The company is based close to Boschkop in Pretoria East and it is essential that the candidate has their own vehicle and a valid driver's license as public transport to the location is non-existent)

POSITION INFO:
The position is available at a growing outsourcing company that delivers administrative and financial services to businesses in various industries (incl agriculture, mining, property).

Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to existing strategic plans to optimise the company’s supply chain operations, with the focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs and enhancing profitability.
Assist with Procurement activities, including Vendor Identification, negotiation and assisting the Manager with Contract Management, to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of products and/or services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations, to execute integrated supply chain strategies that support overall business objectives.
Utilise data analytics and financial applications to evaluate supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimisation.
Provide regular reporting and analysis to Senior Management on agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

Qualifications:
A National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
Proven experience in a supply chain role with a focus on strategic planning, procurement and logistics.
Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.
Proficiency in data analysis and financial applications (e.g. Excel, Powerpoint, XERO).
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas and levels of the organisation.
Demonstrated ability to drive results, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
