Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and stock control of all raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
You will work closely with our Production Managers, Production Planner, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Warehouse teams, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials required for daily production and promotional campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Purchasing
- Source, purchase, and manage packaging, raw materials, and consumables.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, contract terms, and maintain healthy supplier relationships.
- Stock & Supply Chain Coordination
- Monitor daily production schedules to ensure sufficient raw materials and packaging are on hand.
- Maintain strong supplier follow-up processes to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Address delivery issues such as incorrect stock, short supply, or quality defects promptly.
- Cross-functional Communication
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to forecast supply needs and campaign requirements.
- Stay updated on ongoing promotions to ensure product and material availability.
- Finance & Documentation
- Process and capture invoices and credit notes for goods received or returned.
- Follow up with accounts to confirm goods receipt, accuracy, and month-end processing.
- Liaise with freight companies and manage necessary shipping documentation (where applicable).
Key Requirements- 2+ years' experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role
- Proven ability to source and negotiate with suppliers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Experience working with invoicing and financial documentation
- Computer literate – MS Office & accounting systems eg. Acumatica, Sage or similar.
- Ability to handle multiple suppliers, materials, and deadlines simultaneously
- Exposure to dealing with freight/logistics providers (advantageous)
