POSITION INFO:

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, identifying cost-effective suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining supplier relationships. You will work closely with the Manager to ensure procurement activities meet organizational needs and standards.
The ideal candidate will have skilled experience in Procurement, strong negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of supply chain management.:

Role: Procurement Officer
Location: Western Cape
Industry: Waste Management

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery
Identify and evaluate suppliers
Negotiate contracts and pricing
Maintain supplier relationships
Work closely with the Manager to meet procurement needs
Clear criminal record

Qualifications

Experience with Purchase Orders and Purchasing
Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Procurement
Strong Analytical Skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Ability to work on-site in Cape Town and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Familiarity with waste management or environmental services is a plus
