Procurement Officer

Purpose of the job:

The Procurement Officer will ensure that all requests and requirements are evaluated and effectively executed. The succesful candidate will be repsonsbile for ensuring that all goods procured is at the best price, best time and best quality.

Job Role:

• Take full ownership of administration / records: Purchases, pricing
• Ability to manage and action a busy desk – multi-tasking
• Exposure to a project-based space
• Work in a tight deadline driven environment
• Work with various service providers: internally and externally.
• Understad how to effectively setup pricing and quality comparisons - not just get the first thing available approach.
• Update all new information required for all service providers
• Work with the Procurement Manager and the team to ensure all required deadlines are met.
• Ability to integrate and build strong working relationships within their department and external divisions.

Key Daily duties would include:

• Updating pricing
• Updating catalogues
• Managing supplier portals
• Managing supplier tenders submitted on the portal
• Required to interphase between Oxalys (software) and Business Central
• Managing supplier documentation submitted via the portal
• Ensuring all suppliers documentation is submitted correctly
• Taking responsibility for the Supplier Onboarding process

- Providing training to the supplier on how to use the Portal

- Managing any club queries regarding he system

- Providing training to new staff

- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the system.

- Liaise with the Internal Audit team for auditing purposes

Experience

• 2 years plus procurement experience within a project-based environment
• Oxalys Software practical experience would be an advantage
• Must be based in the Gauteng region
• Above average communication skill written and verbal
• Must have relatable transport with valid SA Drivers license
