Procurement Specialist - 6 Month contract

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist for a 6-month contract vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 

• Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in SCM / equivalent in Procurement
• 5 years relevant work experience un procuring goods and service using Open Tender, Expression of Interest, Request for Proposals methods of which 2 years must be at a supervisory level
• Must have knowledge of tender procedures and legislation and strategic sourcing
• Experience in ensuring compliance with provisions of the PFMA Act, Treasury Regulations and in line with Preferential Procurement policies

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Execution of procurement in line with policies, procedures and procurement legislation
• Bid specifications
• Evaluation of procurement proposals which include bids, EOI, RFP and quotes
• Implement and monitor procurement requests
• Ensure administration process of procurement is adhered to
• Handle negotiations
• People management
• Reporting and accounting duties

 
Salary:  Negotiable for contract duration
