Procurement Specialist - 6 month contract

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist for a 6 month contract based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

 

• B.Degree / ND in SCM or Procurement equivalent
• 3-5 years relevant work experience including tender based procurement
• Knowledge of procurement policies, tender procedures and legislation
• Experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, and ensure PFMA act compliance
• Experience in treasury regulations, and preferential procurement policies

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Develop, manage, coordinate and implement procurement strategy and processes
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and acts (PFMA, PPPFA)
• Implement procurement strategies and processes
• Procurement legislation, policies and procedures
• Pre-tender submissions
• Evaluation of procurement proposals and quotes
• Implementation and monitoring
• People management
• Reporting and accounting

 

Salary:  Negotiable, for the 6 month contract
