Procurement Specialist

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Economic Development Industry is seeking to employ a Procurement Specialist to join their team in East London.

POSITION INFO:

The Key Performance Areas will encompass:
 
a. Procurement Legislation, Policies and Procedures
b. Pre-tender Submission
c. Evaluation of Procurement Proposals and Quotes
d. Implementation and Monitoring
e. People Management
f. Reporting and Accounting


Technical competencies:
a. Knowledge of the Company Procurement Policies
b. Knowledge of the Tender Procedures and legislation
c. Knowledge of strategic sourcing and commodity management
d. Implement procurement strategy and processes.
e. Ensure compliance with provisions of the PMFA Act,
f. Treasury Regulations, Preferential Procurement Policy

Job Requirements: 

a. Bachelor’s degree/National Diploma in SCM or Equivalent in Procurement.
b. 3-5 years relevant work experience including tender based procurement.
