Procurement Specialist - Indirect (Packaging/Glass/Paper)

SUMMARY:
One of my multinational clients who is a leader in the FMCG space has an exciting opportunity for a strong Procurement specialist! You will be response for driving the procurement of all point of sale and trading items in line with brand plans and commercial initiatives, as well as other indirect purchasing within the organization. POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have at least 5 years’ procurement/purchasing – in FMCG

• Good client relationship management
• Must be creative and innovating
• Good computer skills – MS Suite – Experience on JDE advantageous
• Must be able to work under pressure and be deadline driven

Duties Include:

• Translation of Marketing/Trade Marketing/Commercial briefs into technical supplier brief
• Marketing/Brand Manager and Trade Marketing Manager consulted
• Technical specifications and requirements of VAPS, point of sale and trading items are accurately translated into a meaningful supplier brief Source and develop innovative point of sale and trading items in line with brand plans and commercial initiatives
• Marketing / Trade Marketing / Sales approve Campaign Costing
• Innovative VAPS, POS and other indirect materials sourced and developed
• Negotiations with suppliers lead to the procurement of quality products at the best price
• Comparative Costings requested and price negotiations completed
• Supplier selected based on set criteria of time, cost and quality of service Three quotes system followed in capturing of all costs and goods receipt on JDE
• Deliveries tracked and goods receipt completed on JDE
• Costing methodology followed to realise cost savings for the business Purchase to Pay process management
• Complete Purchase to Pay process cycle until goods are delivered to respective warehouse
• Purchase orders raised correctly and sent to selected suppliers on time
• Build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
• Focus on continuous improvement of the administrative processes

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma  in Procurement/Purchasing
