Procurement Specialist - Industrial Manufacturing

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a strategic Procurement Specialist - applicants must have strong negotiation skills and a history in raw materials procurement within the manufacturing industry

POSITION INFO:

• Create OB orders on key/critical commodities
• Strategic sourcing
• Price review and negotiations with suppliers
• Responsible for drawing up Supplier contracts/SLA’s and RFQ’s
• Liaise with the suppliers regarding quality and delivery issues
• Supplier visits and evaluation
• Supplier development and improvements in line with company strategic objectives
• Product investigation/sourcing and bench marking
• Rationalisation projects
• Cost savings and reductions projects
• Manage stakeholders
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good regular communications
• Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships
• Continuous improvement to optimize production efficiency
• Attend to any ad hoc duties assigned by Procurement Manager
