An SCM Professional with a Masters degree

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a public entity based in Pretoria and they require the services of a Procurement Specialist on a 9 Months fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development and implementation of recommendations made by various consultants as part of The company turnaround strategy in area of Supply Chain Management (SCM).
• Assist with the automation and roll-out of the requisitioning and contract management system across all National Parks.
• Develop a strategic sourcing model for The company.
• Assist with the implementation of the best practice in order to eliminate inefficiencies in SCM.
• Assist with the implementation of SCM Audit Action Plan.
• Assist with the review of current contracts and negotiate best possible prices where The company is over charged.
• Assist in drafting and negotiating service contracts.
• Assist in the implementation of SCM Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure compliance to the regulatory framework: reporting and policy alignment.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Be in possession of a Degree/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, a MBA/ MCom / MTech and MCIPS will be an added advantage.
• Should have 5 – 10 years’ experience in SCM systems, efficiency and reform in a comparably large and / or complex organisation.
• Should have strong experience in turning around supply chain management environment.
• Strategy expert in Implementation.
• Knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEEA and Regulations applicable to SCM environment
• Contract Management knowledge.
• External Audit Process knowledge.
• Analytical skills.
• Project management and entrepreneurial.
• Team work.
• Policy implementations and good communications skills.

Remuneration

R66 000 per month total cost to company
