Procurement and Contracts Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Metering Solutions industry, has an opportunity available for a Procurement and Contracts Manager to be based in the Durban area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Completed Matric qualification
• Suitable business or Procurement qualification 
• 5 – 8 years senior management experience at strategic level to engage with Executive team
• At least 10 years’ experience in Procurement
• Willingness to continuously learn and travel abroad
• Proficiency in MS office and Excel at an intermediate level
• Strong manufacturing experience
• Strategic sourcing experience
• International sourcing experience
• BBBEE experience
• Strategy development and execution
• People management

KPAs:

• Develop a commercially viable strategy for the Procurement function
• Identify suitable team development strategies to improve performance of the function
• Negotiate and develop commercially beneficial contracts with service providers
• Ensure projects and capital expenditure items are identified and complete within budget
• Identify and create external procurement opportunities and partnerships
• To develop local sourcing strategies aligned to geographic expansion activities on the African continent
