Product Development Engineer

SUMMARY:

Internationally established Manufacturing organisation based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town has an opportunity available for a dynamic Product Development Engineer.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable
• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing/production environment.
• 2 years’ experience as a Research and Development Engineer.
• Sound financial and business development acumen.

Key Performance Areas:

• Analyse process/production data and identify potential machine replacements.
• Stay up to date with latest manufacturing machines and technology.
• Technical market research.
• Interact with sales department to identify product opportunities.
• Feasibility studies on new machines.
• Present progress and provide feedback on findings.
• Present production or process opportunities.
• Visit production plants and provide feedback on areas of improvement.
