JOB DESCRIPTION:

Global manufacturer of products used in the rail and power distribution sectors seeks to employ an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage and provide direction in the development and manufacturing of products. Based in Pietermaritzburg

For the position you would be required to have:

B.Sc/ B.Eng in Electrical Engineering preferred
Around 8 years of product development engineering and manufacturing experience
Around 4 years' experience managing technical teams
Experience in electrical power transmission and distribution would be a definite advantage

Responsibilities would include you to:

Cost and time management of all product development-related projects, including prototype designs, technical qualification and testing
Manufacturing process design and implementation throughout the factory
Continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes.
Assist the Quality department in the reduction of production waste throughout the factory
Provide guidance to the receipt inspection team on all related incoming materials to be used on manufactured products
Assist with guidelines during the supplier qualification and audit processes.
Assist in the compilation of tenders and other customer enquiries by completing all technical submissions
Address and close-out of all technical, product-related customer complaints.
