JOB SUMMARY:

A multinational agricultural company is seeking the above to manage and lead the development of new and existing products that result in successful marketing and sales of profitable products by driving Product Development projects across Africa and the Middle East and facilitating technical exchange with the aim to contribute to a future profitable and sustainable portfolio.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have an M.Sc. degree or equivalent in a relevant science field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in crop protection and plant pathology will be required
Must have experience in the implementation, management and analysis of field trials and managing development projects
Experience in a research/development environment as well as practical field execution of trial work is essential
Very good understanding of technical and market aspects as well as competitor products will be an advantage
Must have an understanding of trialling, protocol design and statistical analysis

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Planning, coordinating, executing and leading projects from early stage through development.
Participating in GAP definition and solution development through understanding of market evolution and competitor analysis
Taking protocol ownership in Biodesign.
Integrating different technologies to build sustainable offers that address grower needs (chemistry, biologicals, digital, agronomic, application tech, information, advice)
Translating results into technical profile for product/grower offer.
Providing technical insights on current and future grower needs, competitive products and portfolio competitiveness.
Ensuring that the BU technical needs/views are fully factored into AME Development Projects from the outset.
Selecting active ingredients as the technical business partner to support Marketing Manager.
Representing field development in Project Management Teams.
Coordinating the activities of specific Technical Launch Teams.
Supporting in country Technical and Regulatory teams with aspects like training, recommendations, technical leaflets, data, etc. when required.
Fostering Technical networking with Global & Regional Development and BU Portfolio.
Reporting and communication of results to role players from local to regional and global level.
Providing complete transparency of trial plans and costs in relevant systems.
Keeping abreast of developments and trends in specific fields of expertise.
Developing registration portfolios, including the compilation of biological reports and draft labels to comply with registration requirements.
Ensuring that all operations under direct control comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and guidelines as well as any other relevant or statutory policies.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
