SUMMARY:

A global leader in the manufacturing of animal feed and nutrition is seeking a results-driven Product Manager to manage and drive sales initiatives and to support the Sales Representatives with technical requirements.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a B.Sc. Agric degree in Animal Nutrition or similar
5 years’ relevant experience in animal feed or feed additives is essential
Must be registered with SACNASP, or in the process of registration
Good communication and computer skills are essential
Must have a valid driver''s license and be willing to travel 25% of the time

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Actively driving, promoting and supporting all sales activities of the Feed Additive Range.
Providing support to Sales Representatives on technical issues and requests regarding the relevant products.
Training and providing technical support to internal staff with good presentation skills, following up on possible areas of knowledge development requirements.
Organising, following up on and taking control of feed additive field trials and preparing relevant documentation.
Identifying new business opportunities for new products, re-launches, packaging changes, and range extensions, and proposing initial plans to exploit these opportunities.
Preparing product marketing plans and discontinuation plans to ensure that the new product range is in tune with market opportunities.
Preparing sales and profit estimates for future products.

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
