Product Manager - Environmental Safety Instrumentation

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Johannesburg is looking to hire a PRODUCT MANAGER for Environmental Safety Instrumentation with STRONG technical background.

POSITION INFO:

The ideal Candidate will have the following criteria:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Business Management Degree or diploma or equivalent with technical expertise. Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products)
• Four to Six years’ experience as a Product Manager
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Must be able to travel 40% of the time (2 days per week).
• Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
•  JOB PURPOSE
•  Manage all aspects of a pre-define product line inside the SBU (Strategic Business Unit) – Roadmap, technical, marketing strategies and support.
• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Defines product vision, strategy and roadmap (New and existing products)
• Manage customer requirements and needs
• Communication link between sales, support and engineering and defines priorities between these parties with reference to product development.
• Aligned with brand management division roadmap and vision
• Manage Beta product trials (POC’s and trials)
• Manage customer feedback strategies to ensure customer satisfaction with your product
• Manage marketing intelligence strategies for the applicable product line
• Manage product positioning strategies to ensure the product is well suited for the applicable target market. (Responsible in defining the product specifications)
• Manage product pricing strategies and monitors if product cost is achievable.
• Manage product launch, promotion marketing strategies
• Manage team of product specialists in order to fulfil above mentioned responsibilities
