SUMMARY:
Product Manager: Financial Services position available - EE

POSITION INFO:

Position Purpose:

• The main function of this position is to be a business owner for the assigned Product(s), to architect, define and execute the product business strategy, in order to generate, grow and sustain the organisation’s revenues and profitability;
• Through effective cross-functional collaboration and project management with all key decision stakeholders, internal and external, this Product Manager will meet the needs, values and expectations of the customer;
• This Product Manager will lead the overall end-to-end management (Product conception, design, commercial marketing, product marketing, product management and development and operations) of new and existing products and services and the management of the relationships with the various stakeholders and service providers for the financial services product portfolio;

• Matric – essential;
• Relevant Degree / Diploma NQF 6 /7 - essential;

Experience:

Job Related Experience Required:

• Experience in the banking or financial services industry, specifically in the ICT function – 6 years essential;
• Experience in Product lifecycle (either technical, business analysis, project management, segment management, commercial, other) – 3 to 5 years strongly desirable;
• Experience in Data Centre / Cloud industry – 1 to 3 years strongly desirable;
• Experience engaging at executive leadership level – 1 to 3 years desirable;
• Experience in commercial interpretation or creating a business case – 1 to 3 years desirable;
• Experience in sales and business development – 1 to 3 years desirable;
• Experience in technical / engineering field relevant to the product – 1 to 3 years desirable;

• Innovation process and Product Lifecycle – essential;
• Telecommunications Industry and Network Knowledge – essential;
• Assigned Portfolio – deep knowledge of the systems and applications used by the financial services industry across Africa – essential;

• Project Management and Vendor / Supplier / Partner management – desirable;
