Product Owner

SUMMARY:
A well established and fast growing Commercial Bank is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for the building of products that clients want and need, and guides the team around knowing the sequence/priority in which to build these products, ensuring they are successful and innovative in the market
• To optimise all elements of the product through prioritising, coordinating and driving systems development work with the Feature Teams
• Partner with the respective Credit analysts to implement relevant process, product and credit rule changes related to the product
• Product SME
• Feature team release plan
• Identify and track benefits in order to maximise business and client value
• Contribute to business efficiency by identifying product, process or system improvement opportunities
• Manage and prioritise the delivery
• Prioritise work for the product delivery teams
• Delivery and stakeholders management
• Review and accept delivered product development increments
• Facilitate implementation of delivered system / process changes

 Minimum Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification
• At least 5 years’ experience in a product owner, product development or product analyst position in credit 
• Business Banking credit product expertise and process know-how
• Business development in the financial industry
• Agile product ownership and methodology
• Domain specific knowledge, business insight, understanding of product technology, technical dependencies
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of banking (i.e. productivity, profit, efficiency, processes and procedures and client service)
• Continuous improvement best practices (Lean, 6-Sigma, Theory of constraints, PDCA, etc.)
• Process mapping and process improvements techniques
• Business Banking product experience at product development level
• Business development in the financial industry
• Agile product ownership and methodology
• Enabling business strategies and objectives into business benefits
• Initiation and implementation of innovative concepts
