Job Description

• The primary responsibility of a Product Owner is to ensure that the right product is created to deliver value for its customers, while also ensuring that the products are in line with company’s strategic goals, vision and business architecture. Be the voice of the customer and the driving force behind product innovation from in-depth product understanding and feature development through to experimentation.

• Interact and collaborate with the customers to understand their requirements and translate this into a vision for the team, while still aligning to the overall product strategy
• Work closely with stakeholders from all business areas to build a deep understanding of the product Drive the product vision with the delivery team so that they clearly visualise the expected outcome of the user
• Communicate the product vision to the stakeholders to ensure that there is an understanding of and buy-in to product to be delivered
• Help to resolve impediments for the team, with the support of the Design Lead and/Technical Lead Actively understand and participate in the overall development stages of the product Liaise with the development team for estimation on work
• Participate in the developers ceremonies with the team to provide direction and clarity Identify opportunities and together with the Product Manager, assess the opportunity viability
• Create user stories for testing purposes (Product Owner related) Stakeholder management of key business areas such as Executives, Heads of Business Units, Business Architecture, Marketing, Customer Support and others
• Create status reports as per the agreed delivery timelines to highlight progress of work underway, issues at hand, potential risks to delivery, dependencies, etc. Work with Business Readiness team to ensure support teams are equipped (training, product information booklets, processes, FAQs, etc.) to support the client and the customer once the product is released
• Once the product is in the market, monitor the client take up rates; feedback and ratings.

• Guide the development of products based on your understanding of various product development processes (e.g. Scrum, Scaled Agile, Continuous delivery etc.) *
• In the absence of a dedicated Scrum Master Create and effectively manage the backlog of work
• Use qualitative and quantitative techniques to elicit data that will guide in determining the minimal viable product Rapidly improve and refine existing products with data gathered through optimisation techniques and testing
• As a Product Owner Effectively work with Product Owners, Technical Leads and Design Leads across multiple delivery teams in a collaborative way
• Manage stakeholders across the organisation to ensure support and commitment to the success of the product and the respective business area
• Maintain a holistic view of product and ensure that the end-to-end experience is optimal for the customer and the business Using appropriate methods, gather and structure in order to gain product and customer insights

• 2+ years of Product Owner and Agile experience
• Good technical and design understanding
• Experience with stakeholder management across various areas of business (e.g. finance, marketing, IT, customer support, product areas)
• Understanding and interpreting data to define relevant product and customer metrics
