Description

Our Client seeks a Product Owner to contribute to multiple custom development projects, acting on behalf of the client to ensure the Product Backlog is created, groomed and prioritised. The Product Owner is required to assist the delivery team in understanding the vision and requirements and ensure quality by actively being involved in testing. All skill levels will be considered

Requirements

• Development or technical background is a bonus
• Understanding of the Scrum Framework, SAFe and Agile methodologies
• Representing the client’s users and business by acting as the project’s key stakeholder
• Engaging with the client stakeholders to assist in defining their requirements, providing guidance and input throughout the process
• Managing the Product Backlog, ensuring it is groomed, prioritised and stories are written in enough detail to allow the Scrum Teams to deliver
• Defining and adding Acceptance Criteria on all stories
• Working together with the Scrum Teams to deliver high quality software products
• Assisting the Teams with quality by testing completed development and providing mentoring on how to test against the acceptance criteria
• Being responsible for validating product ideas with reviews of plans and work-in-progress with clients, architects and Scrum Teams
• Conducting user research and developing wireframes and specifications for new product features
• Managing multiple feature development in one Product Backlog
• Managing projects, business as usual (BAU) work and product roadmap priorities simultaneously
• Assisting with product/system/process documentation to support user and business continuity
• Providing any necessary training to client user and business as required
• Working in harmony with the Scrum Master / Project Manager as roles and responsibilities tend to get blurred, allowing for greater support for one another

QUALIFICATION / PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

• Required (not-negotiable): Matric
• Advantageous (nice to have): Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 3-year diploma
• Advantageous (nice to have): Agile related certifications
