Product Owner: Corporate Procurement/Guided Buying

SUMMARY:
Our client in one of the top 4 banks is looking for a Product Owner: Corporate Procurement/Guided Buying for a 6 months contract to start immediately. This will be for our client's new Super App, which is your one-stop lockdown companion where you can get what you need at a tap of a button. It's the digital place that has all the essential goods and services you need at your fingertips.

POSITION INFO:

Skills required:

• A detailed understanding of the Procure to pay process with a specific focus on catalogue buying.
• Knowledge of the procurement process in the South African context with preferential procurement taken into consideration. Note that this knowledge will also be brought forward by the Company''s procurement team.
• Knowledge of the SAP Ariba Guided Buying solution is a bonus. Note that SAP Ariba will provide these skills and have provided a cost for them.
• A fair understanding of SAP Masterdata and how the vendor master plays a role in supplier onboarding as well as the procurement process. Note that the Company SAP BAU team will also provide support with this item.

With the support from a full-stack squad, including key roles such as SM, EL, UI, UX, CX, Developers, and testers, the PO is responsible for:

• Innovation and end-to-end launch of the Guided buying solution on Ariba and Avo.
• Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement.
• Turn data insights into products with actionable outcomes to the ultimate customer.
• Works in an agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables.
• Collaborate with partners (Ariba, SAP, and Avo) and customers to co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify opportunities and risks
• Partner with stakeholders and customers across the Company to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
• Develop, own, and execute the product roadmap.
• Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
• Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog and balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
• Lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the user base and the technology (Ariba, SAP, and Avo).
