Product Specialist (1 year Contract)

SUMMARY:
An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking a dynamic Field Product Specialist to provide instructor-led training and coaching to channel partners with the goal of increasing customer engagement and sales of products and services to farmers.

POSITION INFO:


Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a Masters degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Business or Agricultural Sciences
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, services or agricultural technology will be required
• Excellent presentation skills and experience in leading training sessions are essential
• Must be willing to travel 25-50% of the time
• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a remote international team
• Practical experience on a farm will be advantageous

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Partnering with sales teams and appropriate channels by providing instructor-led training and coaching.
• Delivering training and product demonstrations, including role plays, objection handling and situational practice.
• Effectively handling challenging classroom situations.
• Assisting learners with applying skills and theory to practical applications.
• Compiling tests and other evaluations used to measure learning and performance as a result of learning initiatives.
• Facilitating the transfer of product, agronomic services knowledge and sales/service techniques to the sales team ensuring each individual can effectively represent, sell and service products offered.
• Resolving on-site technical issues for key accounts if needed.
• Contributing to customer support initiatives by resolving escalated issues.
• Function as a product expert and ensuring up to date knowledge.
• Supporting the creation of materials for communications in the country.
• Planning, coordinating and presenting farmer events.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
