POSITION INFO:
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production volume targets, considering Total Production Units (TPU) and budget
Develop production systems to consistently achieve 15.5 UPH
Ensure TPU targets for direct reports are achieved and continuously improved
Meet agreed budget and headcount targets, demonstrating a 5% year-on-year improvement
Control non-personnel costs such as consumables and scrap within tight parameters and budget
Minimize and strictly manage overtime
Ensure quality targets in the Body Shop are consistently achieved
Ensure quality performance is maintained both internally and externally, including DPR, RMU, QZS, QZF, Geometry of BIW, and HOP—all of which must be controlled and stable
Contain and resolve problems to prevent them from affecting internal or external customers
Ensure timeous execution of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and preventative maintenance schedules to support high levels of technical availability
Drive continuous improvement in technical availability and UPH performance
Ensure robust technical problem solving is applied to support production stability
Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and procedures
Ensure continuous process improvement to optimize resource usage, improve plant conditions, and enhance ergonomics
Enable teams and associates to achieve agreed targets through effective leadership and guidance
Maintain a high level of motivation among direct reports and associates
Ensure effective communication and cascading of information necessary to meet performance targets
Establish and maintain proper work organization structures
Plan and execute succession planning and staff development initiatives to ensure long-term team effectiveness
Adhere to all applicable standards and procedures, working in alignment with Collaboration Management System principles
Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience in a Body Shop environment
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role, such as Process Leader
Proven work experience in management and team leadership within a high-volume manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act) and legal liability
Familiarity with Environmental Management Standards
Knowledge of site-specific Health and Safety Standards
Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
Competence in conducting and reviewing risk assessments
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems)
Working knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems)
Qualification:
B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
