SUMMARY:

An established, highâvolume manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to provide handsâon technical support within a fastâpaced production environment. This is a plantâfloor focused role, ideal for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting live production challenges and driving sustainable process improvements.

POSITION INFO:
This forwardâthinking manufacturing operation, a recognised leader within its production sector, is looking for a handsâon Production Engineer to join their operations team. With a strong focus on stable, efficient, and compliant manufacturing, the business delivers highâquality products through disciplined processes, continuous improvement, and technical excellence across its production environment.
In this role, you will be highly visible on the production floor, providing realâtime technical support to shift teams. You will play a key role in troubleshooting process and equipment challenges, restoring stability, reducing downtime and waste, and driving sustainable improvements once normal operation is achieved.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Postgraduate qualification in Process Engineering and/or Lean Six Sigma (advantageous)
Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production or process engineering role within a manufacturing environment
Strong handsâon process troubleshooting and production line support experience
Proven ability to stabilise processes, reduce downtime, and improve yield and OEE
Practical experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation
Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs including OEE, waste, yield, throughput, and downtime
Experience supporting operators and supervisors during startâups, changeovers, and line recovery
Knowledge of food safety, GMP, HACCP, and manufacturing compliance requirements
Exposure to lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to analyse production data and translate findings into practical floorâlevel improvements
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and coach production teams
Comfortable working in a shiftâbased, fastâpaced manufacturing environment
