Qualifications / Requirements:

• Minimum of Matric

• Minimum or 3 to 5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

• Minimum of 2 years experience managing and supervising in a manufacturing environment

• Managing staff compliment of ±15 staff members

• Work experience must be backed by a tertiary qualification (e.g National Diploma or Degree)

• Experience in printing, fiberglass, welding and general metal processing / manufacturing

• Involvement in continuous improvement drives and initiatives (e.g. mission directed work teams)

• Good Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy essential

• Good working knowledge of quality systems (ISO), OSH Act, BCE Act and plant maintenance essential

• Ability to work independently in a high-pressured environment

• Attention to detail, excellent numerical skills

• Good computer literacy – Excel and Word skills

• Ability to speak, read and write Afrikaans and / or English

• Great communication skills at all levels within organization

• Valid drivers license

Key Performance Areas:

• The Production Foreman will take complete responsibility for production within the company

• Managing and controlling the production processes and output

• Ensuring that production volumes, quality standards, and cost targets are achieved

• Implementing initiatives to achieve and maintain world-class standards for production, quality, and SHE management

• Driving the implementation of processes for new products

• Oversee the management and control of the production store function

• Planning, budgeting, costing and capex responsibilities

• To manage, direct and monitor the performance of subordinates to ensure that critical performance areas and targets are achieved
