SUMMARY:
Our client in the Agricultural sector is seeking to employ a Production Manager to join their Team in Pietermaritzburg.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Lead the manufacturing team to ensure plant metrics are achieved in a safe, timely, quality, cost efficient and productive manner.

· Accountable for the achievement of product quality and foods safety, manufacturing costs, productivity, and OHS compliance.

· Will be a key driver in development and implementation of process improvement initiatives.

· To effectively and efficiently plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications and orders.

· Comply with all reporting requirements – monthly, weekly and daily reports.

· Manage all issues relating to production staff.

· Ensure high standard of housekeeping are maintained in all areas and entire site at all times.

Job Requirements:

Diploma /Degree in Production Management / Engineering.

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience as manager in an Animal Feed manufacturing/ Milling / FMCG environment.
